Final Critique Potluck 2013

This past semester, I took the ceramic vessels class taught by Shawn Spangler. For the classes' final critique, Shawn hosted a potluck at his apartment. Everyone brought food to share and eat out of pottery we had made over the semester. We all brought some of our favorite pieces that we wanted to present to the class and watched some video clips about ceramics.

Haha, caught Mariye with her mouth full

Watching youtube videos of Chris Staley

Loading the Car Kiln

It's a pile on at the end of the semester as everyone tries to get their pieces glazed for final critiques. Instead of loading and firing a few kilns, Brad rounded some people up to load up and do one huge firing in the car kiln.

Intro Students Raku 2013

Lucky lucky, the introductory ceramics students get to try out Raku! John shows them how it's done.

The pieces are removed while still hot then set aside to cool off.
